On 19 September 2017, H.E. Mr. Jukr Boon-Long, Ambassador of Thailand to Myanmarๅ, along with representatives of  the Thai business community in Myanmar, met with H.E. Dr. Myint Htwe, Union Minister for Health and Sport, to deliver 1,700 doses of flu vaccines to the Ministry of Health and Sports for further distribution to those in needs. 

The donation is the collaboration between the Royal Thai Government and the Thai private sector which contributed 1,200 doses and 500 doses of flu vaccines respectively. The procurement is made with cooperation from Smitivej Hospital of Thailand. 

As a close neighbor, Thailand is committed to supporting Myanmar's efforts to control the spread of flu and address the future outbreak to ensure the well-being of Myanmar people.
