On 16 January 2018, Ambassador Jukr Boon-Long, together with the Thai Commercial Affairs Office in Yangon and the Thai Business Association of Myanmar (TBAM), received Mr. Kalin Sarasin, Chairman of the Thai Chamber of Commerce and Board of Trade, Thailand, and delegation. The Thai Ambassador provided an overview of Thai-Myanmar relations, including the Royal Thai Government’s policy towards neighboring countries as a whole, and towards Myanmar in particular. He also encouraged Thai investors to implement corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities in their area of investment, to share experiences in developing the finance sector, and to strengthen networks with private sector from other countries to jointly support Myanmar’s economic development.
