On 16 August 2018, Ambassador Jukr Boon-Long and Mr. Narong Boonsatheanwong, Minister and Deputy Chief of Mission at the Royal Thai Embassy, Yangon, attended a donation ceremony for flood relief in Myanmar. H.E. Professor Dr. Surakiart Sathirathai, former Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Thailand, and Advisory Vice Chairman of The Friends in Need (of “Pa) Volunteers Foundation, Thai Red Cross (HRH Princess Soamsawali, Advisory Lifetime Chairperson, and HRH Princess Bajrakitiyabha, Chairperson) donated 60,000 USD from the Thai people to H.E. Dr. Win Myat Aye, Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement, at Hilton, Nay Pyi Taw. H.E. Dr. Win Myat Aye expressed his sincere appreciation for Thailand’s contribution and friendship in this regard.
