On 5 December 2023, the Royal Thai Embassy, Yangon, hosted a reception on occasions of the Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great, the National Day of the Kingdom of Thailand, and Thailand’s Father’s Day at the Thai Ambassador’s residence. More than 400 guests attending the reception included high-level representatives from the Myanmar government and business sector, diplomatic corps and the Thai businesses and community in Myanmar.

Exhibitions about the biographies and royal projects of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great and His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua were arranged in the premises. In addition, with kind cooperation of Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), the Embassy invited a group of Thai dancers to perform traditional Thai dance and demonstrate Thai cultural workshops. A group of Myanmar dancers from the Yangon University of Foreign Languages also performed traditional Myanmar dance in the reception.

Food and drinks in the reception were contributed by the Thai businesses in Myanmar under the coordination of the Thailand Business Association of Myanmar (TBAM).
