On 27 August 2025, the Ambassador of Thailand to Yangon, along with the diplomats and staffs at the Royal Thai Embassy, Yangon, Team Thailand and spouses, as well as members of the Thai community in Myanmar, participated in the “Royal Initiative Volunteers” activity to commemorate the auspicious occasion of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother’s Birthday Anniversary on 12 August 2025

The activity involved cleaning and beautifying the area surrounding the Botahtaung Pagoda, one of the most revered and spiritually significant pagodas for Buddhists in Yangon. This initiative was held to honour the historical and spiritual value of the site, support the preservation of Buddhism, contribute to social good, and most importantly, to pay tribute to Her Majesty the Queen Mother on this auspicious occasion.
