Guidelines for Visa Application (4)
Referring to the Embassy’s announcement on 20 February 2024 regarding Guidelines for Visa Application (3) that the Embassy has launched Visa Appointment Booking Online (VABO) with 200 slots per day.
After the experimental launch of VABO earlier this morning, it appears that the system has been operating well. In order to accord facilities, reduce congestion and maintain safety of the premise, the Embassy therefore wishes to announce additional guidelines for visa application effective as of now as follows:
- The Embassy will no longer provide on-site queue numbers for visa applications.
- Visa appointments are only to be made online via VABO at https://thaiconsularyangon.com/visa or the QR code appeared below with 400 slots allocated per day. The appointments can be made up to thirty days in advance.
- Applicant must correctly fulfill the appointment form in VABO and after making such an appointment, applicant is required to take a screen shot and/or print out the appointment confirmation appeared in the website after the completion of booking in order to present it to the Embassy staff on the date of appointment.
One passport number can be used to make one visa appointment which cannot be transferred to other applicant.
- VABO might be temporarily unavailable due to high traffic. When this occurs, applicants are urged to access the website after a short while.
