On 15 August 2019, H.E. Mrs. Suphatra Srimaitreephithak, Ambassador welcomed and had a meeting with H.E. Mr. Tej Bunnag, Chairman of the Princess Maha Chakri Award Foundation (PMCAF) Foreign Affairs Committee and delegation including the news reporter team from TPBS at the Royal Thai Embassy. PMCAF paid a visit to Myanmar in order to visit 3 Myanmar teachers who were honoured to receive “Princess Maha Chakri Award” in 2016, 2017 and 2019 and have a meeting with the representative of Ministry of Education of Myanmar regarding educational development.

During the meeting, besides from acknowledging the objectives of Princess Maha Chakri Award; to honour dedicated teachers who make significant contribution to education and human development and deserve international recognition, Ambassador also elaborated about Myanmar’s current National Education Strategic Plan (NESP) and Myanmar Sustainable Development Plan (MSDP). Moreover, the group from PMCAF also had an opportunity to discuss with representatives from Thai Business Association in Myanmar (TBAM) about cooperation in educational field and Cooperated Social Responsibilities (CSR) projects. Then they also joined a press conference with Myanmar media for publicizing the objectives and honour of the Award and those devoted Myanmar teachers.
