On 25 August 2015, Ambassador Pisanu Suvanajata and executive members of the Thai Business Association of Myanmar (TBAM) joined hands to deliver relief items to Myanmar Red Cross Society under the project “Medical Relief for Myanmar Flood Victims”, which was a collaborative effort of the Royal Thai Embassy, TBAM, and Ramkhamhaeng Hospital Public Company Limited.

U Kim Bawi, Deputy Secretary General of Myanmar Red Cross Society, was present to receive the donation of relief items which included 400 water purifiers (worth 1,200,000 Thai Baht) and medicines, supported by MOSQ (Thailand) Co., Ltd, Endomed (1999) Co., Ltd, SENGTHAI Medical Co., Ltd, and ATP Innovations Co., Ltd.

Moreover, Ambassador Pisanu handed cash donation from people in Thailand and the Thai community in Myanmar, worth over 5,000,000 Kyats, to the Myanmar Red Cross Society to assist its humanitarian missions.

The donation from Thailand to Myanmar is one of symbolic gestures of friendship and goodwill between the two countries as Thai people are always ready to lend a helping hand to Myanmar people in   time of distress. This truly reflects the compassion and care that Thai people have for their Myanmar friends.
