On 31 March 2016, Royal Thai Embassy in Yangon organized a thank you lunch party for embassy’s partners and supporters to the Embassy’s works and projects.
H.E. Mr. Pisanu Suvanajata, Ambassador of Thailand to Myanmar, gave a brief speech about the main purpose of this gathering which was not only expressing the Embassy’s gratitude to all contributors, but a special occasion to get together with close friends and companies before the Thingyan festival. Moreover, the Ambassador emphasized the importance of all Cooperate Social Responsbilities (CSR) projects of the Royal Thai Embassy that received kind support and contribution from all friends.
Subsequently, Mrs. Thipayasuda Suvanajata, Spouse of the Ambassador, expressed the Embassy’s intention to continue organizing CSR projects with a view to returning benefits to Myanmar society. These projects also reiterate the sincere friendship between the two countries as Thailand always stands ready to assist and cooperate with Myanmar for the betterment of Myanmar society.
Later on this event, the Ambassador presented certificate of appreciation to Mr. Surapol Phikrohngan, the owner of Royal Ace Trading Co. Ltd., for their contribution and donation to the Embassy’s development project in Nga Pyaw Gyun Village, Irrawaddy region.
Since 2013, the Royal Thai Embassy organized CSR projects and activities in various fields such as the establishment of prosthetic unit of the National Rehabilitation Hospital in Yangon, training and capacity building for parental association and medical personnel for children with Autism, development of basic structure and facilities for people with leprosy, hygiene and sanitary development and establishment of friendship schools etc. These projects mainly focus on building the sufficient and sustainable development for Myanmar by sharing best practices on resource management and knowledge to persons who are in charge of these issues in Myanmar.
