ANNOUNCEMENT
- Effective from 1 January 2025, all nationals applying for a Thai visa must submit his/her application through the new online visa platform at https://www.thaievisa.go.th/. Please read the details about how to apply for e-Visa at the said website. Visa applications will no longer be accepted in person at the Embassy.
- After submitting the visa application through the said e-Visa system, the visa fees must be paid in cash (USD) at the visa section of the Royal Thai Embassy in Yangon from 09.00 – 11.30 hrs. on the Embassy’s working days upon prior appointment. The details of E-Visa payment reservation is as follows:
- All visa types except Non-Immigration L-A visa
- On 1 January 2025 at 10.00 hrs. (Myanmar local time),
the Embassy will open the reservation system for E-visa payment.
After applying E-Visa from the https://www.thaievisa.go.th/, a visa applicant or an assigned person has to make a reservation for the payment at thaiconsularyangon.com/evisapay. - A visa applicant or an assigned person is able to make reservation for only one Request No. per day, with maximum of 10 applicants per one Request No. (The request number will be in the Payment Info Summary generated by the e-visa system together with a QR code).
- After makingthe reservation, a visa applicant or an assigned person is advised to print out or take a screenshot of an e-visa payment reservation confirmation page together with the Payment Info Summary with QR code to present to Embassy staff on an appointment date. The Embassy reserves the right to deny the visa applicants and assigned persons whom details in the reservation information do not match with the original documents from making the payment.
- The Visa Section accepts only USD banknotes in perfect conditions. Please note that the visa fee is non-refundable, regardless of whether the visa is approved, cancelled or rejected.
- After the payment is successfully made, a receipt will be sent to an E-visa applicant’s emails or an E-visa account within approximately 15 minutes. The Visa Section will no longer issue a receipt at the counter.
The visa processing time will take up to 15 days after making the payment.
- On 1 January 2025 at 10.00 hrs. (Myanmar local time),
- Non-Immigration L-A visa
- Only MOU worker companies are allowed to apply the Non-Immigration L-A visa on behalf of MOU workers at https://www.thaievisa.go.th/. The system has already generated and sent usernames and passwords to the MOU companies together with the manual.
- For the reservation of the non L-A e-visa payment, the MOU companies are required to log-in with existing usernames and passwords(different log-in from the E-visa system) athttps://thaiconsularyangon.com/labour-visa to make reservation for the payment.
- All visa types except Non-Immigration L-A visa
Please note that the abovementioned system is applicable only for the E-visa applied at the Royal Thai Embassy in Yangon.
