The Royal Thai Embassy in Yangon, in collaboration with Dale Carnegie Training Thailand, organized the training course on “High Impact Presentations” during 8-12 September 2014 for the middle-level management of Myanmar government officials and staff of Myanmar’s non-profit organizations.

The 2-day intensive training was organized for 2 groups, each of which was limited to 10-12 participants for maximum results, since each participant had to practise the presentation techniques they learned in different scenarios, with VDO recording and personal coaching.

This training course was the third in series of capacity building on leadership and management, initiated by the Royal Thai Embassy in response to the requests by several Myanmar agencies with a view to enhancing capacity of Myanmar personnel to cope with rapid changes and reforms currently taking place in Myanmar, as well as the integration into the ASEAN Community.  The participants themselves have also become ever determined and eager to learn to be equipped with necessary skills to handle more demanding jobs.

Dale Carnegie is a global leader in training and career development, and is internationally recognized as one of the best in bringing out the best in people.  With its full support, the training course was specially designed for Myanmar personnel, taking into account its challenging positions at an important juncture.

The participants were satisfied and rated the training as successful.  A cooperative activity such as this for the benefits of Myanmar people symbolized the close and cordial relations between Thailand and Myanmar.
