On 2 December 2014, Ambassador Pisanu Suvanajata and H.E. U Nyunt Swe, Former Deputy Foreign Minister of Myanmar and Chairman of Myanmar-Thailand Friendship Associaton jointly presided over the opening of the “Famous Buddhist Cultural Images in Thailand” Photo Exhibition organized by the Thai-Myanmar Association for Friendship, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand at Chan Thar Gyi Hall, Shwe Dagon Pagoda. This event is organized in conjunction with the celebration of the 87th Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand, and as a goodwill mission for friendship from Thailand to Myanmar.

The photos exhibited were captured by U Aung Myoe, a talented Myanmar photographer, who travelled all around Myanmar and Thailand to capture over 1,000 pictures of various Buddhist cultural heritage. His photos taken in Myanmar have also been showcased at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Thailand which was overwhelming received by the Thai public.

This photo exhibition will be opened for the public from 2-8 December 2014 at Chan Thar Gyi Hall, Shwe Dagon Pagoda.
