On 3 December 2018, Mr. Narong Boonsatheanwong, Charge d’ Affaires, Royal Thai Embassy, Yangon, hosted the reception on the auspicious occasions of the National Day of the Kingdom of Thailand, the Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty the Late King Bhumibol Adulyadej and Thailand Father’s Day, the Thai Residence, Yangon.

The reception was participated by high-level officials from the Myanmar Government and representatives from the private sector, members of Diplomatic Corps in Yangon as well as friends of Thailand, around 500 people. Chargé d' Affaires also referred to His Majesty the Late King’s dedication for Thailand’s sustainable development especially, the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy (SEP) granted by His Majesty and implemented through 4,000 Royal Development Projects nationwide. At present, as neighboring countries, Thailand and Myanmar have cooperated closely in applying SEP in Myanmar. Currently, the Embassy is setting up a Development Study Center on the Late King’s New Agricultural Theory at Yezin Agricultural University in Nay Pyi Taw. 

In the reception, the Royal Thai Embassy presented the Thai cultural performance by Sbunnga Group from Chiang Mai and also received the collaboration from Thai business community in Myanmar in arranging various Thai Foods to celebrate these auspicious occasions.
