On 5 December 2018, Mr. Narong Boonsatheanwong, Charge d’ Affaires a.i., Royal Thai Embassy, Yangon, hosted a reception on the auspicious occasions of the National Day of the Kingdom of Thailand, the Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty the Late King Bhumibol Adulyadej and Thailand Father’s Day at the Thai Residence, Yangon for the Thai community in Myanmar. In his speech, the Chargé d' Affaires recalled His Majesty the Late King’s dedication to the development and betterment of the country and the Thai people, especially the achievement on the implementation of the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy (SEP) and the New Theory granted by His Majesty. Both the SEP and the New Theory are being applied in Myanmar through a number of Thailand’s development projects in Myanmar. In addition, the Chargé d' Affaires also stressed that the “Volunteer Project” under the royal initiative of His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Bodindradebayavarangkun, carried out by the Thai community in Myanmar will not only benefit the Thai people, but also the Myanmar society and people on the whole. In conclusion, Charge d’ Affaires has expressed his appreciation to all Thai business community for jointly hosting the reception in honor of the auspicious occasion.
