เมื่อวันเสาร์ที่ 10 พฤษภาคม 2568 เวลา 16.30 – 18.00 น. สถานเอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงย่างกุ้ง ได้จัดกิจกรรมฟังธรรมเทศนาและเวียนเทียน เนื่องในวันวิสาขบูชา 2568 ณ Khemarama Keng Tung Monastery และ Kyaik Wine Pagoda กรุงย่างกุ้ง โดยมีเอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงย่างกุ้ง หัวหน้าสำนักงานทีมประเทศไทย ข้าราชการและคู่สมรส นายกสมาคมมิตรภาพเมียนมา-ไทย คณาจารย์และนักศึกษาภาควิชาภาษาไทย มหาวิทยาลัยภาษาต่างประเทศย่างกุ้ง และพุทธศาสนิกชนชาวไทยและเมียนมาที่มีจิตศรัทธาเข้าร่วมกว่า 50 คน

ในโอกาสนี้ เอกอัครราชทูตฯ ได้เป็นประธานกล่าวเปิดของกิจกรรม ก่อนที่จะเริ่มพิธีเจริญพระพุทธมนต์ฯ ถวายเครื่องสังฆทานแด่พระสงฆ์ 9 รูป และกรวดน้ำ ภายหลังพิธีเจริญพระพุทธมนต์ฯ ผู้เข้าร่วมพิธีได้ร่วมพิธีเวียนเทียนรอบพระเจดีย์ Kyaik Waing ตามขนบธรรมเนียบแบบไทย และสรงน้ำต้นโพธิ์ตามขนบธรรมเนียมแบบเมียนมา เพื่อสืบสานพระพุทธศาสนาให้เจริญยั่งยืน ส่งเสริมความสมัครสมานในหมู่ชุมชนไทย และส่งเสริมการแลกเปลี่ยนวัฒนธรรมกับพุทธศาสนิกชนชาวเมียนมาให้แน่นแฟ้นต่อไป

On Saturday, 10 May 2025, from 16.30 to 18.00 hrs., the Royal Thai Embassy in Yangon organized a Dhamma sermon and candlelight procession to commemorate Visakha Bucha Day 2025 at Khemarama Keng Tung Monastery and Kyaik Wine Pagoda in Yangon.

The event was graciously attended by His Excellency Mr. Mongkol Visitstump, Ambassador of Thailand to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, along with officials from the Royal Thai Embassy, heads and representatives of Team Thailand agencies in Myanmar, the Chairman of the Myanmar–Thai Friendship Association, lecturers and students from the Department of Thai Language at Yangon University of Foreign Languages (YUFL), as well as devoted Thai and Myanmar Buddhist participants—totaling approximately 50 attendees.

On this occasion, the Ambassador presided over the opening ceremony, which was followed by a Buddhist chanting session, the offering of alms and requisites to nine monks, and a water libation ritual. After the chanting, participants engaged in a candlelit circumambulation around the Kyaik Waing Pagoda, following Thai Buddhist tradition, and took part in the traditional Myanmar ritual of Bodhi tree bathing.

These religious and cultural activities were held to promote and preserve Buddhist heritage, strengthen unity within the Thai community, and foster deeper cultural and spiritual bonds between Thai and Myanmar Buddhists.
