On 23 August 2016, H.E. Mr. Pisanu Suvanajata, Ambassador of Thailand to Myanmar together with H.E. Min Min Oo, Chief Minister of Mon state joined the handover ceremony of the eye surgery Phaco machine to Mawlamyine General Hospital donated by Siam Cement Group (SCG) from Thailand.

Prior to the ceremony, Mr. Pisanu and representatives from SCG paid a courtesy called on the Chief Minister and the Cabinet of Mon State Government during which they discussed several areas of bilateral cooperation including health, energy and infrastructure development.

Royal Thai Embassy has been continually encouraged Thai business community in Myanmar to implement CSR activities to show its social responsibility. This SCG’s ‘Sharing a Brighter Vision’ project once again confirms Thailand’s strong commitment toward social well-being of our Myanmar friends.
